Recetario privacy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Recetario (this site and the app at /app/) is a Facilon brand, run by Alberto Curcio Linares (Costa Rica). Contact: support@esfacilon.com.

Your recipes stay on your device

Everything you write in the app (recipes, notes, title, dedication, categories) is stored only on that device, inside the browser (localStorage and IndexedDB). Nothing is sent to our servers: we can’t see it and we can’t recover it. The PDF book and the backup (.zip) are also created on the device. If the browser data is cleared or the phone is lost without a backup, the recipes are gone.

Photos

Photos you pick (dishes, handwritten recipes, family photos) are resized and compressed on the device itself and stored there. We don’t upload them anywhere.

WhatsApp chats

If you open an exported WhatsApp chat to bring in recipes, the file is read on your device. Only the messages and photos you choose to turn into recipes are kept. The chat is never sent to any server. Recetario is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.

Buying the full book

Once purchases are available, payment is handled by Creem (creem.io), our reseller. We receive a random purchase code, the order number, the product and the amount. So you can restore the purchase on another device, we keep a one-way hash (SHA-256) of the email you paid with, not the email itself. We never receive your card details. The recipes are never sent.

Analytics and cookies

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and only shows anonymous totals. The site uses a few technical cookies to remember your language (rc_lang, rc_choice, rc_geo, rc_paylang). No ads, no tracking.
